The two-bucket method combined with Snow Foam reduces the risk of dirt scratching your paintwork. The Snow Foam pulls and loosens contamination from the surface and softens any bonded surface contaminants. The two-bucket method consists of one bucket with soapy water for washing. The second bucket has rinse water. Inside the Rinse bucket is a grit guard, this helps to separate the dirt from the wash mitt preventing any dirt from being dragged across your paintwork.

Ultra-Proofing: Restoring the protective surface barrier.
Most new soft-tops (fabric or vinyl) are usually chemically treated at the time of manufacturing to repel water and contamination such as bird droppings and tree sap (think of it as ‘Scotchguard’ for the roof). There are several contributing factors that cause the protective layer to gradually wear off, (caustic wash solutions, weathering & general driving elements) thus leaving it vulnerable to pre-mature fading and staining. Our Ultra Proofing service will restore this protective layer using similar products and techniques that are used at the time of their production. Not only can this help in making sure that the roof on your vehicle looks great for longer but it can also help in maximizing its re-sale value.
Soft-top fabric recolouring
Faded fabric roofs can be restored using Soft Top Reviver, a specially formulated liquid coating for fabric tops which can restore about 75%-80% of the roof’s original colour to deliver a ‘like-new’ appearance. This service also works well as pre-sale preparation for vehicles to help raise its value.
Without maintenance, you can expect a convertible hood on a cabriolet to last around 6-8 years before it will need replacing – caring properly will double this life span to around 12 years which is the life span of most cars. As a replacement hood can cost between £600 and £3000 depending on the model, it makes good sense to reproof your hood every three years. Even reproofing once of twice in a lifetime can pay dividends.
